Rejuvenate at Costa Rica’s Tabacon Resort

Pura Vida!

Has the stress of everyday life got you down? Well then, you must take care of YOU and say bye bye and escape to beautful Costa Rica!

I LOVE me some Costa Rica! And the good news is it’s fairly easy to get to. Forego flying into the bustling San Jose, and choose instead the smaller Liberia airport. Miami, Houston, NYC, and Atlanta offer direct flights. It’s teeny tiny, pretty much an airplane hangar. Then either hire a van or rent a car to make the 3 hour trip to the Tabacon Resort.

This 5 star luxury resort is uniquely located at the foot of the Arenal Volcano. Aside from the gorgeous view in a rainforest setting, the resort boasts multiple hot spring pools that are heated by the volcano’s magma. Each naturally-formed spring pool is a different temperature, allowing for different tastes.

Spend the next 4 days soaking in the hot springs, relaxing and unwinding. In addition, a world class spa is directly on-site. The Grand Spa provides a myriad of services from massages to wraps to scrubs. Pamper yourself completely with their Full Day package. I had the hot stone massage, and it was fabulous. I felt like a noodle by the end.

Enjoy a wide array of culinary choices during your stay. The hotel offers a convenient buffet that changed the menu each day. If a more luxurious dinner tempts you, Los Tucanes is the place. This fine dining establishment is set amid a tropical garden and offers lobster, mahi mahi, and more.

A variety of activies await if you decide to explore the area. You may find hiking enjoyable, And LaFortuna has plenty of options! The LaFortuna waterfall is a gorgeous hike. In addition to the waterfall, interesting wildlife abounds, from treefrogs to howler monkeys.

Rafting trips and horseback rides are also available if you choose to explore beyond the resort.

After a few days in spectacular Costa Rica, you will be ready (if not completely willing) to resume your daily life and responsibilities once again, renewed and invigorated.
